Terra Group mingles travel and wine with Vino Mundo

Terra Group enhances its offer with its « Collections » series. This quality thematic offer is supported by the DMC’s expertise and structures. The first collection, named Vino Mundo, features the wine world in 8 destinations. Interview with Pierre Boyer, co-founder of Terra Group and a wine enthusiast !

Pierre Boyer, co-founder of Terra Group and a fine wine enthusiast develops Vino Mundo’s new collection - DR : Terra Group - You’ve just launched Vino Mundo. Tell us about it. 
Pierre Boyer : Vino Mundo is part of a series of collections we want to develop at Terra Group so we can offer more variety to our clients in our destinations.
We will launch a new collection each year with different topics. Vino Mundo is the first born of this series.
The collection takes place in eight of our destinations : South Africa, Argentina, Australia, Boilivia, Spain, Portugal, Croatia and Chile.
Soon Peru will be added. We have our own DMC and a local francophone team on location. We dedicate a website to the collection. - What is your audience ? 
Pierre Boyer : We have two categories : professionals (winegrowers, groups of oenologists) and amateurs (individuals passionated with travel and wine).
Tours could be a study trip or a business and leisure trip. We adapt our offer to the demand and customize our quote accordingly.
Travel agencies with clients who are wine connoisseurs or wine producers are welcome to contact us for a quote.
We adapt this collection to a larger audience of individuals with the Oeno Mundo product : autotours, individual tours for travellers who want to explore on their own a destination with winery visits and wine tasting sessions.
A dozen of trips available on line. Clients can buy it or be inspired by these suggestions to build their own trips. - What’s the story behind Vino Mundo development ? What is your vision for this collection ? 
Pierre Boyer : I am passionate with wine. During my travels, I’ve always been interested in exploring a region around this topic, in meeting professionals, but without spending days in cellars. I remember for instance a great experience I had one night in a bodega in Argentina.
The idea behind Vino Mundo is to connect travellers with connoissers and professionals and to have them enjoy the conviviality thaty is created around wine and gastronomy.
I am contemplating the idea of adding other alcohols to the collection : sparkling wine and cachaça in Brazil, Pisco in Peru... 
We want to create a website that is not only oriented on the product but also on the encounter with oenologists, wine producers and over wine professionals… It will include a series of portrays of the wine industry professionals our clients can meet during their trip.
Now that our website has been launched, we can go out and meet clients. We will, for instance, attend the Bordeaux Tasting fair on December 15 and 16 2018.
